We have many times had requests from Maccabi members worldwide for assistance in organizing a Bar or Bat-Mitzvah ceremony / family trip in Israel. These trips leave deep impressions in the hearts and souls of their participants and especially, reinforce the Jewish identity of the young ones. Moreover, they link Jewish generations -- grandparents, parents and children -- together, in an extraordinary shared experience that promote our Maccabi ideals of Jewish continuity and Zionism.
In response to these requests, MWU Dept of Education is launching a Bar & Bat Mitzvah Program in Israel, designed to deliver tailor-make solutions for the needs of families, groups and Jewish Communities.
There are multiple options:
1. Family Program:
If you are considering celebrating your child’s Bar/Bat – Mitzvah in Israel, we can organize for
you:
a. Ceremony at the Kotel HaMaaravi (the Western Wall), or in a synagogue of your
preference.
b. All logistics for parties, receptions and catering.
c. Tourist trips through all or some of the Israeli highlights, for instance:

2. Group Program:
Planning a group Bar/ Bat – Mitzvah? We can organize every detail, always following your
requirements. Our goal is to ensure you and your group´s personal experience of a complete
Jewish experience. Assisted by Rabbis who comply with the requirements of your Community,
with trips through the country, hotels suited for young people and educational activities,
our group experience in Israel is sure to be memorable, meaningful and fun, and a wonderful
rite of passage for your adolescents becoming adults.
3. Community Program:
If your Maccabi Territorial Organization wants to organize a Bar/Bat-Mitzvah Family Program,
the possibilities are endless. We can organize a program according to your specific
guidelines, or propose many different possibilities… We can make it happen for any
number of participants – even in the hundreds! – and always as part of the big Maccabi
Family.
